As an Operator & Maintainer to the Australian Federal and NSW governments, Parklife Metro is leading a transformative metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport.
The Parklife Metro (PLM) consortium, made up of Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, is delivering the Stations, Systems, Trains and Operations & Maintenance (SSTOM) package of works for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (SM-WSA) project.
RDWSA will proudly operate and maintain 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills on the Western Sydney Airport metro line for 15 years after the line has become operational.About the Role:
Reporting to the Asset Production Manager, you will act as the technical and asset authority for Rollingstock and Rail Systems, ensuring assets are safe, reliable, compliant and optimised for long-term performance.
You will work closely with OEMs (including Siemens), Sydney Metro and internal operations teams to deliver outcomes aligned to RSNL, ONRSR accreditation, WHS legislation, CCID obligations and ISO 55001 in a GOA4 operation. Your responsibilities may include:
- Asset lifecycle management of Siemens passenger rollingstock and rail systems
- Governance of signalling, CBTC, communications, OCC and depot systems
- Contract and performance management of OEMs and key suppliers
- Configuration control, engineering change and safety assurance
- Reliability improvement, RAMS reporting and defect management
- Compliance with RSNL, ONRSR, WHS, TfNSW and Contractual requirements
- Oversight and Assurance of the 25 kVAC traction power
- Oversight of Infrastructure Maintenance Vehicles (IMVs), hi-rail vehicles and depot working equipment
- Electrical Management of the 25 kVAC traction power network.
- Assurance of plant registration, certification and Minimum Operating Standards compliance
- Be the Lead for the FM function for a landmark driverless metro system.

Profile
About You:
You are a senior rail engineering or asset management professional with strong system-level judgement and experience operating in a safety-critical, heavily regulated environment. You will bring:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Equivalent
- Demonstrated asset management capability aligned to ISO 55001
- Experience managing OEMs (Siemens experience highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of RSNL, ONRSR accreditation and WHS due-diligence obligations
- Experience working in electrified rail environments (25 kVAC)
- Experience governing on-track plant, hi-rail vehicles and plant registration requirements
- Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and governance capability
- Proven experience in CBTC, signalling, rollingstock or automated metro operations
