Mission

About Us

RATP Dev Australia is part of the RATP Group, a global leader in high-capacity urban rail and the world’s third-largest public transport operator. With 25,000 employees across 17 countries, we design, operate, maintain, and modernise public transport networks, delivering tailored mobility solutions that make sustainable transport the natural choice for cities and communities.

In Australia, we are actively expanding our footprint across iconic mega-infrastructure projects:

  • Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (Parklife Metro): As part of the Parklife Metro consortium (Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild), RATP Dev Western Sydney Airport (RDWSA) will operate and maintain six new metro stations, 12 trains, rail systems, and the stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills for 15 years.
  • Suburban Rail Loop East, Melbourne (TransitLinX): Selected to deliver the Linewide package for SRL East—a 26-kilometre fully tunnelled metro corridor between Cheltenham and Box Hill—RATP Dev has partnered with John Holland in the TransitLinX (TLX) Joint Venture to manage the long-term Operations & Maintenance (O&M) scope.

About the Role

As our Payroll Advisor, you will be the dedicated subject matter expert managing the compliant, end-to-end payroll lifecycle for RATP Dev Australia across both New South Wales (NSW) and Victoria (VIC).

Supporting both the Western Sydney Airport and Suburban Rail Loop project workforces, this role ensures rigorous compliance with multi-state legislation, Enterprise Agreements (EAs), and Modern Awards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Payroll: Deliver timely, accurate end-to-end pay runs, including onboarding, adjustments, leave management, allowances, and final termination calculations.
  • Complex Pay Calculations: Accurately process redundancies, retrospective pay adjustments, leave loading, and off-cycle payments.
  • Multi-State Compliance: Serve as the SME for NSW and VIC payroll legislation, ensuring statutory compliance across PAYG tax, payroll tax, superannuation guarantee, and workers' compensation.
  • Award & EA Interpretation: Interpret and apply Modern Awards and project Enterprise Agreements to correctly calculate penalty rates, overtime, and enterprise entitlements.
  • Time & Attendance Integration: Audit and validate timesheet records from Kronos/UKG, collaborating with operational managers to resolve discrepancies before pay finalisation.
  • Finance & Year-End Reporting: Coordinate STP Phase 2 reporting, monthly general ledger reconciliations, and payroll liability reporting (headcount, leave provisions, overtime trends) in partnership with Finance.
  • Employee & Stakeholder Support: Provide timely, professional support for employee and manager queries regarding payroll, taxation, leave entitlements, and timesheet processing.
